May 15 to October 15:
When El Nido Belongs to Those Who Stay
Peak season is impressive.
The local season is addictive.
The lagoons don’t disappear when the crowds do. The limestone cliffs stay dramatic. The water stays clear. But the beaches become yours. The island hopping tours? You and the boat crew. Secret viewpoints? Actually secret again.
Yes, you’ll get tropical rain. You’ll also get days that feel like high season—clear skies, calm seas, bright light—without competing for space.
This is El Nido at its most generous. Lower prices. Deeper connections. Real time to settle in and build your network and focus.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY ABOUT STAYING LONGER
We stayed in El Nido for a month in October and worked from your place. It was a great workspace with plenty of room and really good food. Definitely recommend it if you're working remotely 😃

I've worked remotely in a lot of places, but Neighbours & Nomad stands out. The space is thoughtfully designed for proper work, the internet is the most reliable in the Philippines, and the diving spots are literally minutes away. It's the kind of setup that makes staying a month feel like the obvious choice

Working remotely in the Philippines used to be stressful — especially in El Nido. I visited before N&N Co-Working opened, and the difference is incredible. They solved every pain point I had as a digital nomad — reliable high-speed WiFi, a professional workspace, and a real work-life balance in paradise.
Now I can live and work in El Nido without stress. Thank you for helping me keep what hair I have left! I can work confidently anytime I choose.

We know the Philippines has a reputation for inconsistent connectivity. We’ve designed Neighbors & Nomads around it.

STAY LONGER. NETWORK DEEPER. WORK BETTER.
This isn’t a vacation where you squeeze in some emails. This isn’t remote work where you never leave your desk.
This is a workcation: productive days in a workspace that actually works, balanced with the freedom to explore paradise when you want to.
For Your Wallet:
Local season pricing means you can afford to stay longer. And staying longer means you get more value per dollar—not just from discounts, but from truly experiencing El Nido instead of rushing through it. Local season is truly a value hack!
For Your Experience:
You stop being a tourist and start being a temporary local. You learn the rhythm. You find your spots. You become part of the community instead of observing it from outside.
For Your Network:
When everyone’s staying for months instead of days, relationships have time to develop. You’re not exchanging Instagram handles—you’re building actual professional connections. Coffee chats turn into collaborations. Sunset beers turn into business partnerships. Be involved or as individual as you like, local season gives you these opportunities.

HOW TO GET TO EL NIDO
Getting to El Nido is easier than most people expect, with a few good options depending on how you want to travel.
International arrival into the Philippines
Most international travellers arrive into one of the Philippines’ main international airports:
- Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL)
- Clark International Airport (CRK) (1.5 hours bus transfer from MNL)
- Mactan Cebu International Airport (CEB)
Flying direct to El Nido
Via Puerto Princesa
You can fly directly from Manila International Airport, as this is often the best value route.
- Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL)
- Clark International Airport (CRK)
- Mactan Cebu International Airport (CEB)
From there, El Nido is a 4 to 5 hour road transfer by private or shared van or the comfortable “Cherry Bus” service.
Many people choose this route to turn the journey into part of the adventure, with opportunities to visit attractions on the way:
- The Underground River – World Unesco site
- Port Barton – Sleepy Surf town with great vibes
- Quiet beaches and local towns along the way
Via San Vicente
A lesser known alternative is flying into San Vicente Airport (SWL). From there, El Nido is a scenic drive north, offering a quieter, more off the beaten path introduction to Palawan.
Coron to El Nido expedition
For the more adventurous, it’s also possible to travel from Coron to El Nido via a 3 day, 2 night island hopping expedition. This route takes you through some of the most remote and beautiful islands in Palawan and is an unforgettable way to arrive.
We recommend Keelooma, and we can help arrange this option and secure discounts for staycation participants.
Final leg to town
Once you arrive in El Nido, transport into town is easy and inexpensive. We’ll share clear arrival guidance and local transport tips closer to the start of the staycation.
Whichever route you choose, getting here is part of the experience.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Will I actually be able to work reliably?
Yes. We’ve engineered our systems specifically for remote work in an island environment. Triple-backed internet (fiber + Starlink), battery-backed WiFi access points, and central backup power mean your calls stay connected and uploads complete. We’re open 24/7, so your schedule is yours.
What's the weather really like?
Honest answer: More changeable than high season. You’ll get tropical rain and overcast days. Temperatures stay in the 30s°C year-round. For every few rainy days, there’s usually a day or two that feels exactly like peak season—clear skies, calm seas. The difference is you’ll have iconic spots almost to yourself.
Can I book just one month?
Absolutely. Our packages are sold in 30, 60, or 90 days. Book 30 days to test it out, 60, or 90 days gets you a discounted price, increased benefits and really integrates you into the community and the El nido way of life.
How do the discounts work?
Simple. Book 60 days or 90 days (or more) and save on the total days cost. We then also increase the freebies and the discounts on partner services and products. The longer you stay, the more you save—and the more value you get from building real relationships. See the rate card for full details.
What about the boat tours?
Every package includes Island hopping boat tour, per each 30 days you stay, to iconic El Nido spots. Book for 60 days, get 2 tours. 90 days, get 3 tours. You can always add more if you want to explore further. Elnido has four main tours A, B, C, D. You could scratch them all off the list! We also include some bonus activities for longer stays
How do I get around?
Scooters are the easiest way to navigate El Nido. During the local season, availability is better and we offer up to 50% off scooter rentals for all guests depending on your length of stay. We can help arrange through trusted local suppliers.
What if I need to cancel?
We know plans change. We will fully refund any deposits up to 14 days prior to your booking starting. Any time after this we will be unable to issue a cash refund but will happily convert your deposit into N&N credits to use on future workcations or just to spend in Neighbors & Nomads.
Is this suitable for beginners to El Nido?
Absolutely. Whether it’s your first time or you’ve been before, staying longer just means you get to experience more of what makes El Nido special. We provide local guidance to help you settle in.
Will there be other digital nomads there?
Yes. Local season attracts people who value depth over buzz—remote workers, slow travelers, and people who want to actually live somewhere instead of just visiting. The community tends to be smaller and more connected than peak season. Perfect for meaningful networking.
What about food options?
El Nido has a full range of restaurants, cafés, and local eateries that stay open year-round. We’ll share our recommendations when you arrive, including where locals actually eat. There is something for every budget and plenty of western options too.
How does accommodation sharing and costs work?
All accommodation is based on two people sharing a twin or double room. Accommodation will be booked by Neighbors & Nomads shortly after your deposit is paid. You will be booked into the standard villa category you have selected or better, and all accommodation will be located within a ten minute ride of the coworking space and the main hotspots of El Nido. Your final allocated accommodation, matching or exceeding the selected standard, will be confirmed and shared with you before the two week cancellation deadline, should you wish to cancel. For Co-Living villas you will be accommodated in a luxury 5 star villa with private room en-suite. You will share the main living areas and pool with up to two other couples.
Do you offer pricing for solo travellers?
Absolutely. While our packages are designed around two people sharing a villa, we recognize that not everyone travels as a couple or with a friend.
To make things more accessible, we offer a 20% discount on single occupancy across all villa options.
This helps balance the cost of enjoying a private space on your own, while still giving you full access to everything included in the experience — coworking, community events, and all the perks that come with staying at Neighbors & Nomads.
If you’re planning to join us solo, just let us know at the time of booking and we’ll apply the adjustment for you.
